Booked Transport
Busan -> Fukuoka:
- Date: Friday, 2026-06-26.

- Seat type: ordinary car with oversized baggage area.
Kyoto -> Tokyo:
- Date: Wednesday, 2026-07-01.
- Train: HIKARI 708.
- Time: Kyoto 1:07 PM -> Tokyo 3:42 PM.
- Travelers: 4 adults.
- Seats: Car 14, seats 1A/1B/1C/1D.

Lodging-To-Lodging Transit Spine
- June 26 arrival: Busan (PUS) -> Fukuoka (FUK), then Fukuoka Airport -> Dazaifu Ratan by the simplest live route after immigration and bags.
- June 28 transfer: Dazaifu Ratan -> Hakata Station by Uber/taxi leaving around 9:00 AM, then NOZOMI 20 Hakata 10:15 AM -> Kyoto 12:59 PM, then Kyoto Station -> CHOAN-RIN by Uber/taxi for 1:30 PM luggage drop at the door.
- June 29 Arashiyama day: CHOAN-RIN -> Saga-Arashiyama / Arashiyama area -> CHOAN-RIN, using taxi support if the first local transfer is annoying in heat or rain.
- June 30 Fushimi Inari summit / Gion tour day: CHOAN-RIN -> direct taxi/Uber to Fushimi Inari Taisha / Inari Station side -> Fushimi Inari summit attempt -> direct taxi/Uber or simplest live route back to CHOAN-RIN for rest -> optional non-tour Kyoto block -> Kyoto Kawaramachi Garden Gion tour meeting point -> Sanjō Ōhashi endpoint -> CHOAN-RIN. Backup if direct car availability or pricing is bad: taxi/Uber to Kyoto Station, then JR Nara Line local to Inari Station.
- July 1 transfer: CHOAN-RIN checkout by 11:00 AM -> Kyoto Station lunch/buffer, then HIKARI 708 Kyoto 1:07 PM -> Tokyo 3:42 PM, then Tokyo Station -> LANG HOTEL Asakusa for check-in, bag drop, and rest.
- July 2 Tokyo exploration: rainy-day Asakusa base -> Ueno / Ameyoko / Akihabara east-side loop, with optional Harajuku thrift branch only if the family splits and weather allows.
- July 3 departure: family leaves LANG HOTEL Asakusa at 1:00 PM by Uber/taxi to Haneda Airport; Justin takes his main bag to TOKYO-W-INN Asakusa for early check-in / bag drop around 1:00 PM, then starts the solo Pokémon route from there.
Luggage
- Group has medium-large checked bags plus carry-ons.
- Hakata -> Kyoto is booked with oversized-baggage-area seats. Kyoto -> Tokyo is rebooked as HIKARI 708, Car 14 seats 1A/1B/1C/1D; verify the Smart EX oversized-baggage-area flag if large checked bags need it.
- Keep passports, generic vitamins / health basics, chargers, one-night clothes, and valuables with the family.
- Luggage forwarding is less useful now that the Tokyo stay is an Airbnb; do not assume the Asakusa Airbnb can receive forwarded luggage without host confirmation.
IC Cards And Payment
- Two iPhone users have Suica in Apple Wallet.
- Justin and the other Android user will get physical Suica cards at a convenience store.
- Backup payment cards are accessible.
Gotchas
- Confirm Fukuoka Airport -> Dazaifu route after arrival timing, bags, and weather are known.
- Dazaifu -> Hakata on 2026-06-28 is an Uber/taxi move targeting Hakata arrival around 9:35-9:40 AM before the 10:15 AM Shinkansen.
- Kyoto -> Tokyo now departs after the CHOAN-RIN checkout deadline, so use Kyoto Station as the luggage-safe lunch/buffer zone rather than adding another Kyoto sight.
- Family July 3 airport is Haneda; still verify terminal, flight status, baggage timing, and live Uber/taxi timing from LANG HOTEL Asakusa.
