Purpose
Track practical prep for the family trip.
When to Use
Use this before departure and before major transfer days.
Checklist
- Save flight, lodging, and Smart EX screenshots offline on at least two phones.
- Prepare allergy phrasing/card if any family-specific allergy needs to be shown at restaurants.
- Measure checked bags if any Shinkansen booking changes are made.
- Confirm family July 3 airport transfer once the airport is known.
Completed
- Visit Japan Web is complete.
- IC-card plan is set: two iPhone users have Suica in Apple Wallet; Justin and the other Android user will get physical Suica cards at a convenience store.
- Backup payment cards are accessible.
- Holafly Asia-region eSIMs are installed and ready for the group.
- No controlled medication or special medication import work is needed; only generic vitamins are being carried.
Gotchas
- Do not rely on cellular data for QR tickets or booking PDFs.
- Do not assume old IC-card shortage guidance is current.
