2026-07-03 Pokémon Solo Route And Asakusa Reset

Now

  • Status: Ready after live weather and TOKYO-W-INN access checks.
  • Archetype: Arrival or Meetup Day plus solo route.
  • Next move: at 1:00 PM, family leaves for Haneda; Justin takes his main bag to TOKYO-W-INN, checks in early, drops bags, gets bearings, then starts the Pokémon route.
  • Critical taps: LANG HOTEL Asakusa / Pokémon Center SKYTREE TOWN / TOKYO-W-INN Asakusa / Pokémon Center TOKYO DX / Pokémon Center SHIBUYA.
  • Carry / check: small route bag only after check-in, IC card, battery, umbrella/rain shell, water, and a Shibuya closing alarm.
  • Cut first: Shinagawa public stops, then Minato public stops, then Koto public stops. Do not miss Pokémon Center SHIBUYA closing.

Today At A Glance

  • Theme: solo Pokémon GO stamp-route sprint before Quinn arrives.
  • Start: family departure logistics from the Asakusa family lodging.
  • End: TOKYO-W-INN Asakusa.
  • Route: LANG HOTEL -> TOKYO-W-INN early check-in / bag drop -> Skytree Town -> Koto -> Tokyo DX -> Minato -> Shinagawa -> Shibuya Center -> TOKYO-W-INN.
  • Must-do: family handoff, TOKYO-W-INN early check-in / bag drop, Pokémon Center SKYTREE TOWN, Pokémon Center TOKYO DX, Pokémon Center SHIBUYA.
  • Hard constraints: family leaves LANG at 1:00 PM, TOKYO-W-INN allows early check-in / bag drop around 1:00 PM, Pokémon Center SKYTREE TOWN and SHIBUYA close at 9:00 PM, and TOKYO DX closes at 9:00 PM.
  • Success state: bag is safely in the new room/base before the route starts, all three Pokémon Centers are visited, all three stamp-rally map clusters are attempted, and the night ends at TOKYO-W-INN.
  • Fallback: complete the three Pokémon Centers and whichever stamp cluster fits. The stamp stops are public-route extras; lodging and store closing times control the day.

Timeline

Choices And Fallbacks

  • Full-completion attempt: check in / drop bag first, then Skytree Town + Koto + Tokyo DX + Minato + Shinagawa + Shibuya.
  • Store-first fallback: if weather or transit gets messy, prioritize the three Pokémon Centers and treat stamp clusters as bonus.
  • Bag-first fallback is now solved by early TOKYO-W-INN access. Once the bag is dropped, the main risk is Shibuya closing.
  • Shibuya-first fallback: if Minato or Shinagawa takes too long, go to Shibuya before 8:00 PM and push remaining public stops to optional status.
  • Low-energy fallback: Skytree Town, TOKYO DX, Shibuya, then TOKYO-W-INN. That still hits the three fixed-hour Pokémon Centers.

Live Checks

  • Family departure timing and airport route.
  • TOKYO-W-INN early check-in / bag-drop instructions.
  • JMA / live radar before committing to long outdoor stamp walks.
  • Pokémon Center store hours / floor access before each store leg.
  • Google Maps transit between clusters; use taxis when live routing says the transfer is getting silly.
  • Saturday Quinn arrival / meetup assumptions.

Food / Water / Rest

  • Food pressure is medium because this is a solo sprint. Eat quickly near Skytree, Nihombashi, Shibuya, or a convenience store.
  • Carry water and a small snack after TOKYO-W-INN bag drop.
  • Do not sit down for a long dinner until the Shibuya Center is done or intentionally cut.

Transit / Tickets / Bags

  • July lodging is locked at TOKYO-W-INN Asakusa, 4 Chome-6-1 Kotobuki, Taito-ku.
  • Normal check-in is 4:00 PM, but host has confirmed Justin can leave bags and check in when he arrives around 1:00 PM on July 3.
  • Justin carries only a small route bag after TOKYO-W-INN check-in.
  • Use IC card / mobile routing. This route crosses several rail systems, and exact live routing matters more than memorizing one line.
  • Taxi triggers: Koto or Shinagawa running late, rain-heavy outdoor stamp hops, or any point where Google Maps says a transfer saves less time than it costs in walking.
  • Quinn arrives at Narita at 3:10 PM on Saturday, 2026-07-04.

Gotchas

  • The full route is still ambitious. It works only if shopping is tight, outdoor stops are treated as taps, and taxis are acceptable when the clock slips.
  • Early TOKYO-W-INN access lets the route run continuously after check-in.
  • Do not let public stamp stops cause a missed Pokémon Center closing or TOKYO-W-INN access issue.
  • Tokyo Tower is on this page only because it is a stamp rally point. Do not add observation-deck time.
  • Keep July 4 Quinn arrival meetup notes visible before sleeping.

Purpose

Run Justin’s solo Pokémon route and Asakusa lodging handoff before Quinn arrives.
