2026-07-03 Family Departure and July Reset
Purpose
Plan the family’s Tokyo airport departure buffer and my reset before the July days with Quinn.
When to Use
Use this page for Friday departure-day pacing, last-minute shopping, airport transfer planning, and the transition into the July travel window.

Soft family departure and clean July reset.
Morning
Very light schedule only:
- Breakfast near The Tokyo EDITION, Toranomon.
- Use the Fine Hotels + Resorts late-checkout benefit as luggage/control-room flexibility, not as permission to leave for the airport late.
- Nearby shopping or final walk only if luggage and checkout are under control.
- Final convenience store haul.
- Last-minute gifts or snacks.
Family Airport Transfer
- Family flight departs from the Tokyo area at about 4:35 PM.
- Start from The Tokyo EDITION, Toranomon.
- Booking notes include guaranteed 4:00 PM late checkout, but airport timing should override hotel comfort.
- Comfortable buffer recommended.
- No major sightseeing scheduled.
My July Reset
- I remain in Tokyo after my family returns to the United States.
- July lodging for the night of 2026-07-03 is still TBD.
- Keep this evening low-friction unless lodging, luggage, and next-day Narita timing are already settled.
- Quinn arrives at Narita at 3:10 PM on Saturday, 2026-07-04.

Gotchas
- Do not add major sightseeing on departure day.
